I really did enjoy myself during our little snow-pocalypse. I took time for snowball fights, sledding, and the occasional snow angel. Well, except for the occasional power outages. That makes writing a little difficult.
Things happen fast here in the Pacific Northwest. We had snow coming down for 4 days. That’s it! Temperatures
quickly started rising yesterday and now we’re dealing with slush. A lot of slush. Living on a hill, that makes walking difficult. If you don’t wear boots with a heel, you’ll find yourself sitting in a big pile of wet ice.
Everywhere outside reminds me of slushies. I could probably open a 7-11 store and make a killing. Add a little cherry flavoring or Coke syrup, and this place would be a Mecca for brain freezes. Oh the pain!
Since the snow plow was only able to do one side of the road, it would be impossible to invite people over for a slushie party. Instead, I’ll give you an awesome recipe for a healthy smoothie. Just watch out for those brain freezes. I hate those!
Smoothie
Using any frozen, unsweetened fruit. I love Frozen whole strawberries!
Throw a handful of fruit in the blender.
Pour a cup of non-fat milk into blender.
Add a couple spoonfuls of Stevia.
A dash of cinnamon.
Blend!
Because the fruit is frozen, it mixes up into the consistency of a milk shake.
