Happy New Year!
I’ve been busy with revisions, since before Christmas. I think I’m near the end, and then off to my beta readers. I’m anxious to start putting all my plans for 2012 into action. By February things will get busy with the release of Margot’s Lawman on Feb. 13. I’ll be doing a blog tour, so stay tuned for more info.
I received wonderful news this week. I made 2 Best of 2011 book lists. The first one is by a wonderful reviewer named Heather. The Sisters of McDougal Ranch series came in #7 on her list of 25. If you want to check her list out and get some new books for your TBR pile, you can find it here. Chantilly’s Cowboy was also nominated in Love Romances Cafe for the best Western-Cowboy category. I believe voting starts next week to find out who the winner will be.
I finally found time to squeeze in enough time to read Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins. It’s a fabulous YA book that my kids have been telling me I need to read. Once I started, it was almost impossible to put down. When I finished it, I instantly opened up the 2nd book, Catching Fire, and started reading. I imagine I’ll be staying up late at night until I finish the series. I must know how it ends.
New recipe time! I tried this recipe on New Years. It was a big hit. You all know how much I love caramel, right?
Caramel apple nachos
Drizzled caramel syrup over regular tortilla chips (make sure the syrup is room temperature if you store it in the fridge)
Then grate an apple over the syrup.
That’s it! Unlike regular cheese nachos it doesn’t take many to fill you up. They’re absolutely delicious.
