Tuesday Catchup

We finally have snow! I was almost afraid this winter would be a bust, but Saturday the snow started falling and it hasn’t stopped. It won’t last long. I think they are calling for rain on Wednesday. At least I was able to go out and play. I had some snowball fights, went sledding, and I even wrote my name in the snow. You can blame that last one on only having brothers growing up, and then having 3 sons. It’s an art form, I tell ya. (you can click on the picture to make them bigger)

My book, Chantilly’s Cowboy is nominated in Love Romances Cafe, cowboy/western category for best book of 2011, and voting is open! If you think Chantilly’s Cowboy should win, head on over to Dawn’s Reading Nook and comment to vote. Voting closes on the 24th of January.

Last week, I was doing revisions and this week—wait for it—I’m doing revisions. I will conquer this story if it kills me! On one of my breaks, I found this picture. I thought it was fitting…

I also joined Pinterest. If you’re a member, feel free to follow me or look me up. It’s a lovely time suck, and highly addictive. Don’t tell me, I didn’t warn you. I also snagged one of the pictures off the site. Since I don’t have a new recipe for you today, you can let me know if it looks possible to make these adorable cupcakes? I think it would be easy to turn them into cats too…maybe some licorice whips for whiskers?

  1. Ugh, revising. I've been revising a 100-page novella for about three weeks now and it's driving me nuts. It just won't let me break it the way it needs, so I've trying to work on other projects to give me some space for it. I may have to force one of my betas to read it and tell me where it's stagnating.

  2. Revisions are tough! I have the worse time seeing through my own writing. I think I get the storyline stuck in my head, that changes seem...awkward. I did turn in my first 6 chapters to my editor, so I'm crossing my fingers that she says I'm good to go on with the rest of the story.

    Good luck with your novella!
