Tuesday & Wednesday Catchup

It doesn’t happen often, but I wasn’t able to get the Tuesday Catchup post out in time. Tis the life of someone who has too many fingers in the cookie dough. Nom!

No, really, I did. I ran errands yesterday, then came home to work on the post. While I was going through my inbox, I discovered I had edits from my editor. The stress was too much, and I decided that making M&M cookies would help me gain brainpower. From there, my day was shot. Of course, the cookies were good. Very good. Too good.

Over the last week, I made major progress on the yet untitled manuscript. I’m still stuck on what to title the book. I’d love to hear your suggestions on what I should title this book. Here’s a rough blurb…

Cowboy Hank goes to the hotel his twin brother owns to help evaluate Ava for the managerial position at the hotel. Hank has to follow his brothers list of tricks to play during the testing, and there happens to be a Cattleman's Association convention that week at the hotel that Hank's also in charge of running.

Ava is determined to get the job, because the high pay means she can afford the bill to keep her grandma in the best nursing home.(Grams has dementia) Unfortunately, if she doesn't get the job (which she isn't qualified for), she'll have to sell her grandma's home to pay for her continual care.

Ideas? It's hilarious, lots of funny tricks that put the characters in constant contact, and yet heartwarming.

On the homefront, there’s a chance of snow this weekend. I’m at the point where I want the weather to change to a sunny spring day. Nobody likes to go look at houses for sale in the snow and rain, and we’re more than ready to move. I did hear of some people who had daffodils breaking through the ground (okay, it was my mom) and some people said they had crocus's already (yeah, that was mom again). The only sign of spring coming around here though is the grass has grown about an inch in the last couple of weeks. I also noticed yesterday that the blackberry bushes have little buds where the leaves will soon be popping.

Any signs of spring in your part of the world?
